COURSE DESCRIPTION: Advertising agency and in-house (or “internal”) agency work is some of the most sought-after work for copywriters. After all, who doesn’t dream about doing big work for big clients and seeing your copy in print or online all around the world? But landing a job or freelance work with these kinds of companies requires just a bit more preparedness and finesse than landing work with small businesses or solopreneurs. This course will take you through what you need to know to stand out from the competition, and then conclude with interviews from creative directors work in ad and in-house agencies right now!
In this course, you’ll learn:
- What makes agencies more challenging to get into
- Which traits agencies are looking for in their copywriters (and how to cultivate them)
- How you can catch and hold the attention of agency creative directors
- What current creative directors have to say about the industry, the opportunities and how copywriters can land agency work
