[1:50] Michelle updates Nicki and Kate on where she is at with her pitches. She’s seen on her email tracker that her pitches are getting opened, sometimes more than once. But, she wants feedback on her follow-ups and next steps.
[3:06] Nicki mentions that the nice thing about follow-ups is it’s the easy part. She reminds Michelle that the main goal of a follow-up is to refresh your email in the prospective client’s inbox.
[6:02] One of the best parts of follow-ups is it makes it easy for the client to see your original pitch. Remember to follow-up by hitting “reply all” to your first email so that all the client has to do is scroll down to see your pitch again, or for the first time.
[7:04] The more pitches you have out in the world, the more chance that you’ll land more discovery calls. Plus, you’ll continue to improve your follow-up process moving forward.
[8:28] Michelle was struggling with what to do after sending one follow-up. But, our hosts explained that the second follow-up is really similar to the first, with the same goal: get your original pitch higher up in your prospective client’s inbox.
[12:04] Michelle shares a win with Nicki and Kate before leaving the session: her client thanked her for sending a great pitch and asked her to do more work for them down the road!
