[1:00] Our guest is looking for help with her biggest roadblock – finding clients!
[2:00] Nicki shares that the more you pitch, the more discovery calls you will get and the more clients you will get – even if that isn’t the most exciting answer.
[4:00] Our hosts suggest pitching a wide variety of businesses, to cast your net wider. The more variety you can get in terms of clients you are pitching, the better chance you have of landing one of them as they all have different needs.
[6:00] Be clear with potential clients that they won’t just be spending money when they hire a copywriter, they are making an investment in their business. Make sure you dig in to the benefit to their business!
[8:00] Kate suggests that if a potential client is hesitate to spend money try pitching a smaller idea to get your foot in the door.
[12:00] Even if your initial pitch is rejected, ask them if they’d like you to follow up again in a few months. Employees and company goals can change. A no now, doesn’t necessarily mean a no forever!
