A Sneak Peek at the Episode

[0:05] Alex begins her laser coaching session giving a huge thanks to Nicki and Kate for the impact they have had on her life. She explains that the CCA changed her life by giving her motivation, confidence, and direction in her career.

[3:27] Alex asks our hosts how she can start pitching agencies with little to no experience. Nicki tells her that the experience listed on job postings isn’t a hard and fast rule, but is put there to attract applicants that do have experience.

[6:10] Kate explains to Alex that she should start pitching agencies immediately because that pitch alone will set her way apart from all of the other applicants. In her pitch, Alex can show the agency that she is already thinking of their business strategically.

[7:17] Nicki tells Alex that it’s not necessarily the clients she’s had that matters, but the way she approaches projects and her problem solving that really matters.

[10:09] Nicki reminds Alex that as long as she’s sending great, value-based pitches, she has nothing to lose! Even if she doesn’t get the position immediately, she can always pitch them later on and keep moving down her pitch list. Nicki also shares the helpful tip to not overthink the pitches; it’s just an email, after all.
